Introduction to the Principles of Splinting & Introduction to the use of X-Lite® Splinting Materials 

Join us for our X-Lite® Splinting Workshop with NES Hands! In this workshop we will be:

• • Using X-Lite® Dorsal Finger Gutter
    • Why it’s different, special precautions, properties of X-Lite®, different products, techniques for strengthening X-Lite® splints, techniques for edging X-Lite® splints, fixing straps to X-Lite® splints
  • How and when to use X-Lite splinting material
  • Principles of strapping
  • Elbow extension splint for contracture or cubital tunnel syndrome
  • Dorsal blocking splint for flexor tendon repairs (Manchester short)
  • Ulnar and radial gutter hand-based splint for fracture management
  • Single sheet resting splint for RA
  • Sugar tong splint for TFCC repairs
